Many situations have occurred in people lives that “threw them for a loop." These situations had brought about many questions about why these things were happening. Sometimes a sense of hopelessness tries to set in because no matter what was done, stuff turned out bad. It is at this time that a "But, God" moment has to kick in. According to Roman 8:28, we are reminded that all things will work out for the good. That means bad things and good things will work out for the best of us that love God.
Those of us who know Christ should know that we are victorious. In Matthew 19:26 it states, "But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, with men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible." When it is realized that victory belong to Jesus, if I belong to the Lord, victory also belongs to me. Now the impossible is in reached because of our Lord.
Throughout the Bible we see God’s response to different challenges! Daniel in the lion's den; Moses being faced with Pharaoh behind him and the Red Sea in front of Him; A widow with a handful of meal and a little oil having it to last until the drought was over because of her obedience to the man of God. All of these things could have devastating outcomes, "But, God." He worked it out for them, He will work it out for us to when we believe.
I read this excerpt from a writer also spoke of "But, God" moments. He stated these words. "The world says no, “But, God” says yes! The world says can’t, “But, God” says can! The world says won’t, “But, God” says will! The world says stop, “But, God” says go! The world says don’t, “But, God” says do!"
Let these words resonate in your spirit, "But, God" and have faith that everything is going to be alright. Yes, there will be times when everything is going well and then boom everything changes. Life happens. I look at like this, I kept an umbrella in my car even when the sun is shining. Why, because I don't know when rain will come. That is why we can have "But, God" moments.
Psalm 30:5 says, "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning." Defeat could have happened, "But, God." Rest assure, God knows and God cares. Take courage and keep saying, "But, God."
