President Wayne Howard of the Brier Creek Chapter, Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution, presented the Chapters 8th U.S. Flag Certificate to the Principal of the Screven County Middle School on November 8, 2024.
The U.S. Flag "Certificate of Commendation" is given in recognition of exemplary Patriotism in the display of the Flag of the United States of America in the correct way. Recognizing people, businesses, organizations and the government with a U.S. Flag Certificate is a project of the Sons of the American Revolution. The Brier Creek Chapter began presenting these certificates in 2017 and this project is an ongoing project of the Brier Creek Chapter, the GASSAR, and the NSSAR and will be honoring others with this certificate.
