Brier Creek (BC) Artillery’s Commander Steve Burke, Don Bazemore and Dess Smith III, traveled to Brier Creek Country Club in Screven County on May 21 for this year’s third annual Cpl G. Alex Mincey Memorial Golf Scramble. The BC Artillery was asked again to start the golf tournament at 9:30 a.m. with their 6-pounder naval cannon and flintlock fire. Compatriot Scotty Scott, organizer of the annual event, made up a sign and presented it to the Brier Creek members for helping him with the scramble.
