When in the dark, look for a light. Better yet, why not be a shining light for others in dark times? Last year, during the Covid-19 quarantine, Candi (Trent) Boulineau and their daughters set a goal that has recently been fulfilled by donating hair to Wigs4kids.
“We decided to let our hair grow out and donate it. Our older three girls have donated hair in the past while living in New Orleans and we chose to it again,” Candi explained.
According to Candi, their daughters Mattie, Sadie, Chloe, and Sidney Boulineau all made donations this time, which ended up being approximately 40 inches of donated locks. Candi and Josie, the couple’s other daughters, were not able to donate at this time but both have plans to donate locks of hair at a later date.
“We wanted to be able to do something special for someone in need and felt like it’s such a sweet gift to give a child a chance to have hair. We’ve always been so blessed. Why not bless someone else with what we’ve been given? It will grow back,” Candi concluded.
