Shepeard Community Blood Center will be hosting a blood drive inside Emanuel Medical Center, located at 117 Kite Road, on Wednesday, May 25, from 1pm until 5:30pm. At this time, all blood donors are needed, but especially donors with O Positive or O Negative blood. Shepeard supplies all of the blood products to Emanuel Medical Center, so when you donate with Shepeard, you truly are giving back to your community and supporting the hospital.
At the May 25 blood drive, all donors will receive a special T-shirt and a voucher for a free fried chicken meal from the EMC Café. Shepeard will be in the private dining room this time, so you can donate and grab lunch at the same time. All donors will also receive donor store points that can be used to purchase digital gift cards. Everyone is encouraged to come donate, and help Shepeard support Emanuel Medical Center.
To ensure your donation is successful, be sure to eat a full meal before donating, stay hydrated, and get lots of rest the night before. Donors must be in good general health, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be at least 17 years old (or 16 with written parental consent) to donate. Be sure to bring a photo ID or Shepeard donor card with you when you come to donate.
