Shepeard Community Blood Center will be hosting a blood drive at Emanuel Medical Center on Wednesday, March 23, from 1 until 5:30 p.m. At this time, all blood donors are needed, but especially donors with O Positive, O Negative, or A Negative blood. Shepeard supplies all of the blood products to Emanuel Medical Center, so when you donate with Shepeard, you truly are giving back to your community and supporting the hospital.
At the March 23 drive, the first 10 blood donors will receive a gift card to either Subway or Leannas. All donors will receive donor store points that can be used to purchase T-shirts or digital gift cards. Everyone is encouraged to come donate, and help Shepeard support Emanuel Medical Center.
To ensure your donation is successful, be sure to eat a full meal before donating, stay hydrated, and get lots of rest the night before. Donors must be in good general health, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be at least 17 years old (or 16 with written parental consent) to donate. Be sure to bring a photo ID or Shepeard donor card with you when you come to donate.
