Barkfest this Saturday!

Posted

This Saturday, October 29, bring your four-legged canine friends out for a day of fun at Barkfest 2022. From 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., the Emanuel County Humane Society will host this year’s event at Bark in the Boro, Swainsboro’s dog park located next to Harmon Park. Featured entertainment will include multiple fun activities, events and vendors (with samples) so you’re sure to have a doggone good time! Don’t let not having a canine friend keep you from coming out! The Betty Gambrell Animal Shelter will have free adoptions available at this year’s event, sponsored by the humane society.

This year’s event will feature raffles, doggy demonstrations from trained search and rescue police dogs, a licensed groomer, and Tractor Supply who will have a dog-approved booth with an assortment of treats and toys. Hot dogs and water will also be for sale. But that’s not all! Make sure your pups are dressed in their best because there will also be a costume contest and a doggy pageant where two beautiful pups will be crowned as Mr. and Mrs. Barkfest 2022! To attend, dogs must be on their leashes when outside of the dog park or if they’re around games or vendors. Be sure to look out for the signs all over town and mark your calendars for Barkfest!
