Aurelious Alvin Reid, age 71, was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 26, 2022, following a brief illness. A Celebration of Life was held Friday, December 2, at 1 p.m. in the Swainsboro City Cemetery.
Aurelious was born May 12, 1951, in Macon, to the late Rosa Lee Reid and Aurelious Kelly. He was known to family and friends as “Regis”. Regis was educated in Emanuel County and after graduation, he enlisted in the US Army. He faithfully served his country from 1973-1979. Regis worked at Advanced Metal and Battle Lumber. Mr. Reid is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Donna Kelly.
Mr. Reid leaves to carry on his loving and caring memories with his four daughters, Temple Shipman of Paris, TX, Felecia Thomas (Anthony) of Augusta, Lakeisha Anthony (Rudolph) of Swainsboro, and Anitra Wilson of Statesboro; seven sisters, Charlene Drummer of Swainsboro, Shirley Kelly, Sybil K. Balcom (Willie James), Harriett Banks (Charles), Audrey Kelly, and Beverly Goodson (Walter), all of Macon; three brothers, Llewellyn “Kit” Kelly (Lisa), Larry Kelly (Lonnie), and Donald Kelly (Gwen), all of Macon; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
