According to the county commissioners’ noon update before press time Tuesday, August 11, the total active cases of COVID-19 in Emanuel has increased to 88.
There have been 575 total confirmed cases. Of those confirmed cases, 476 patients have recovered while 11 have died. Altogether, 3,649 patients have been tested; 268 of those patients are awaiting results.
This week’s active count of 88 indicates an increase of 32 cases from the previous week.
The report on August 4 was as follows:
• 56 active cases
• 475 confirmed cases
• 414 recovered
• 3,415 total patients tested
• 293 patients awaiting results
The death count jumped from five to 11 on August 10. The previous death count of five held steady from July 23 until this Monday.
