Emanuel Arts Council will host its first Art Block Party on Thursday, Oct. 6 from 4 to 7 p.m. The 100 block of Green Street will be closed during that time. All artwork will be displayed outside.
The event is sponsored by Advanced Metal Components, Mill Creek Foundation, Citizens Bank, Durden Banking Company, Daniels Chevrolet, Hotset America, and Swainsboro Rotary Club.
Artwork by students at Swainsboro High School, Emanuel County Institute, and East Georgia State College will be displayed on Green Street across from the EAC, and a sidewalk chalk contest for the art students will be conducted on both sides of the street. Donald Jenkins will be playing music beginning at 5 p.m.
