Mrs. April Barwick, 54, of Kite, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022, at her residence following a brief illness. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 1, 2023, at Graham Memorial Nazarene Church with Reverend Curtis Koscheski officiating. Interment followed in Graham Memorial Cemetery. The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, December 31, at Chapman Funeral Home.
Mrs. Barwick was born April 24, 1968, in Lansing, Michigan, to Charles Dwane Griffith and Bonnie Lee Fegan Griffith. She loved being a homemaker where she enjoyed interior design, listening to music and visiting yard sales. April loved helping people, and her favorite holiday was Christmas. Mrs. Barwick is preceded in death by her father; and sister, Robbin Deloach.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Jimmy Barwick of Kite; mother, Bonnie Griffith; sons, James (Amanda) Kirby of Kite, Dennis Joyner of Garfield, Charles Joyner of Kite, and Jimmy (Seagi Stevens) Barwick Jr. of Kite; grandchildren, Jaden Sullivan, Madison Sullivan, Makenzie Sullivan, Tripp Francis, Allie Pierre, Sara Pierre, Kilie Pierre, and Bubba Pierre; great-grandson, Huxley Thompson; sister; Nancy Griffith of Swainsboro; and several nieces and nephews.
Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
