Mrs. Dixon was born April 26, 1936, in Metter, to the late Wilbur Lamar and Freddie Rayvorah Hutson Toole. She was an ECI (Emanuel County Institute) Honor Graduate, Class of 1954, and attended the Augusta Business College where she obtained an Associate Degree in Accounting.  Mrs. Dixon was employed as an Accounting Manager by the University Hospital in Augusta, GA, for 10 years. When she and her husband started a family, Mrs. Dixon decided to put her family before her career, so she stayed home to raise her sons and make a home for her beloved family. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening. In the last few years, she enjoyed container gardening, and sharing the fruits of her labor with friends and neighbors. According to her grandchildren, with whom she shared a special bond, she was the best cook around. Mrs. Dixon was a long-time member of the Twin City United Methodist Church, Sunday School and other committees.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Mr. Clark Dixon of Twin City; sons, Van Dixon (Lynn) of Evans and Kenneth Dixon (Leigh Ann) of North Augusta, SC; five grandchildren, Lucas Dixon, Shelby Dixon, Logan Dixon, Ethan Dixon, and Ryan Dixon; nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Twin City United Methodist Church, PO Box 6, Twin City, GA 30471.
