Mrs. Alberta Bennett, 65, was called home on September 22, 2021, to be with Jesus after a tragic accident. Funeral Services will be Saturday, October 2, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Chapel Baptist Church in Lyons. Interment will follow in White’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, October 1, at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Ed Bennett, Phil Anthony, Jr., Jeffery Bennett, Michael Bennett, Clifford Anthony, Tyrone Anthony, Daedric Anthony, and Tony Bennett.

Alberta was born to William and Lillie Mae Bennett of Lyons. She attended Lyons Senior High School. Alberta was a lifelong, faithful member of Mr. Chapel Baptist Church. She was a devoted employee of Crider’s Inc. in Stillmore for more than 30 years. Alberta was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved to travel and spend time with her family. Mrs. Bennett is preceded in death by her father; and brother, Willie James Bennett.

Mrs. Bert leaves to cherish her loving and kind memories with her loving mother; two sons, Michael (Patricia) Bennett of Metter and Harold Ricks Jr. of Swainsboro; four daughters, Crystal (Frederick) Thomas of Kathleen, Natalie (Keith) Harris, Tammy (Tyson) Ricks, and Ann Ricks, all of Swainsboro; six sisters, Shirley Bennett of Byron, Bobbie Kent of Lyons, Gail (Charlie) McKinney of Metter, Rosella (Clifford) Anthony, Jackie (Phil) Anthony, both of Lyons, and Carolyn (Timmy) Floyd of Bartow; 2 brothers, Andrew (Carolyn) Bennett of Oviedo, FL and Jesse Bennett of Lyons; 2 aunts, Rose Harmon of Jacksonville, FL and Katie Bridges of Canton, OH; special companion, Harold Ricks of Nunez; special friends, Mary Helen Hall, Jackie Gibbons, and Alberta Cheeks; 19 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 35 nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
