An 18-wheeler log truck took a dive into a local pond on Monday, March 1 on Highway 56 East, after the driver lost control. The uninjured, but shaken driver, could not be removed from the truck until the truck was pulled from the pond. Traffic was held up for approximately two hours until the scene could be cleared.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene to render assistance and aid.
