Daddy-Daughter Dance

Approximately 26 couples attended the Daddy-Daughter Dance sponsored by Swainsboro-Emanuel County Parks and Recreation Department Friday night, Feb. 11, at Vann Community House. The annual event is for girls ages 5 to 12 and their daddy or an adult escort. The girls enjoyed an evening of socializing and dancing to a variety of music by disc jockey Joey Crapps.

TWIN CITY—Funeral for Peggy Kate Bell, 52, was held Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005 at 2 p.m. at Emanuel County Institute Auditorium with Rev. Bennie Brinson officiating and Rev. Alfred Cason assisting. Burial was in Phillips Cemetery in Lexsy. She died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005 after an extended illness.
