Cub Scout Pack 75 recently had their monthly meeting at the First United Methodist Church. It was a night packed full of excitement and fun.     TWIN CITY—Memorial service for Mary Hall Lerwick, 77, was held Monday, Dec. 20, 2004 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary with Elder Tommy Rountree officiating. The body was cremated and ashes will be buried at the family plot in Twin City City Cemetery. She died Dec. 16, 2004 after an extended illness.

    Tigers earn medals at Rebel Invitational

    This past weekend the SHS wrestling team finished in 2nd place at the Rebel Invitational at Effingham High School.

    The Tigers were led by Gold Medalist Zac Frye (152lb weight class), Silver Medalist Michael Singletary (112lb weight class), Logan Brantley (125lb weight class), and JJ Nobles (215lb).     Brett Mauldin, graduate of Gatewood in Eatonton and now a senior at Lee University of Cleveland, Tenn., was honored in 2004 as the first and only Lee University rugby player selected to the All-Stars Collegiate Men First Team Travel Squad of the Mid South Area.
