Whipple sentenced in Superior Court

Randy Jerome Whipple was sentenced in Emanuel County Superior Court Friday, Feb. 18 by Judge Kathy S. Palmer, Middle Judicial Circuit.

Whipple negotiated a plea of guilty on one count of possession of cocaine. He was sentenced to five years in the state penal system to serve concurrently with all other sentences presently serving.

TC Lions Club to hold pancake supper

Twin City Lions Club members will hold a pancake supper Thursday, March 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Twin City Lions Club building. Adult plates are $4 each; plates for children under 8 are $2 each. Proceeds from the supper will help support community projects. Tickets may be purchased at the door or from club members.

    I am a 58-year-old woman, recently disabled, living alone and I would like to know more about my rights with regard to Social Security.     THOMASTON—Funeral for Harry E. Flanders Jr., 90, was held Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Thomaston with Rev. Bill Barber and Dr. Edwin L. Cliburn officiating. Burial was in Swainsboro City Cemetery at 4 p.m. He died Feb. 16, 2005 at Providence Health Care in Thomaston.
