Swainsboro police officers reported a variety of reports filed. Cases are:

April 4

A Lucky St. woman reported a woman, whom she identified, threatened to beat her up.

Employee at El Valle Restaurant reported someone stole his vehicle.

Officer was called to a residence on N. Green St. to a domestic disturbance.

Officer responded and assisted firefighters with vehicle fires at Quick Mart and on E. MLK and Rentz streets.… Read More

McLeod Covenant Baptist Church will celebrate its pastor’s anniversary for Rev. Robert Fullwood Sunday, April 17 at 2:30 p.m. Guest speaker will be Rev. Milton Hughes, pastor of Green Grove Baptist Church of Dublin.

Guest churches will be Durden Grove, Lester Grove, Oak Grove, Willow Spring, Ohoopee Grove, Mt. Gilead and Green Grove.

Canoochee River Race postponed to April 30

Due to continuing heavy rainfall in the area, the 2005 Canoochee River Race organizers decided to postpone the race to Saturday, April 30. The race had been originally planned for April 2 and had already been postponed to April 9.
