Summer GHSGT, prep classes slated

All Georgia High School Graduation test prep classes and tests will be provided at Swainsboro High School this summer. Any Emanuel County students needing to participate in the prep classes or take the GHSGT retest should follow the schedule below.

Prep Classes will be held each weekday beginning Tuesday, July 5 through Friday, July 15. Social Studies and Math sessions will be held from 9 a.m. until noon each day. … Read More

Cullars shares WWII memories

World War II veteran DeWitt Cullars was interviewed by members of Franklin Memorial Library at his home on June 2. He was a sergeant during World War II and a member of the 130th Ordinance Service Company of the 3rd Army. His unit was in charge of maintaining and repairing weapons and equipment. Troop 75 at summer camp

Twenty-one boy scouts and six adult leaders have returned from attending summer camp at Camp Rainey Mountain in the North Georgia mountains.
