Allen picks up fourth place finish at wrestling championship

Robert Allen placed fourth in the GHSA Class AA Wrestling State Championship at 160 pounds this past weekend.

Allen defeated Stone (South Atlanta) in the first round, then fell to area rival Campbell (Vidalia).

Attorney Tobe Karrh of Swainsboro has announced he is running for superior court judge of the Middle Judicial Circuit.

EGSC Arbor Day Celebration rescheduled to March 6

Due to weather, East Georgia State College’s Arbor Day Celebration has been rescheduled to Friday, March 6, at noon. The celebration will be held on the Swainsboro campus and will feature the planting of a tree at Ezra Pond. The tree will be dedicated to Danny Vaughn, a former EGSC employee of Plant Operations.

On Friday, February 14, Community Action for Youth and Daniels Chevrolet held a drawing for the winner of a Chevrolet Spark in the Daniels Chevrolet show room.
