Senior VP Dobbs installs 2020 Wiregrass officers

The Wiregrass Chapter of the Georgia Society – Sons of the American Revolution held its monthly meeting Thursday, January 9, at New China Restaurant at 6:30 p.m. with President Wilder Smith Jr. presiding. Twenty-three members and guests attended.

One of those guests was Bill Dobbs, senior vice president of the Georgia Society. He traveled 130 miles from his hometown of Covington to install the local chapter’s officers for 2020.

Officers are as follows: Wilder Smith Jr., president; Steve Burke, vice president; Chip Durden, secretary/treasurer; Dess Smith III, registrar; Emory Fennell, chaplain; Ruskin Powell, historian; George King, sergeant-at-arms; and Julian Sconyers, parliamentarian.
