Members of local SCV camp urged to attend February meeting

The McLeod-Morning Camp No. 1386 of the Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) will hold its monthly meeting on February 20 at New China Restaurant at 6:30 p.m. Those who want to eat dinner are welcome to do so at their own expense prior to the meeting. It is imperative that all members attend as new officers will be elected, and the state president for the Order of Confederate Rose will also be in attendance to provide information about starting a chapter for the local area.
About the Order of the Confederate Rose
The Order of Confederate Rose (OCR) is an independent support group to the SCV. The OCR was founded in Alabama in 1993 and has spread to other surrounding states. It is a nonprofit, nonracial, nonpolitical, and nonsectarian group. This organization assists the SCV with historical educational benevolence and social functions. The president of the State of Georgia Order of Confederate Rose, Marcelle Cail, will provide an informational program February 20 at New China Restaurant. This meeting is open to anyone interested in learning more about what the order does and how to become a member.
