Any biological father, known or unknown, is hereby notified that he will lose all rights to the children and will not be entitled to object to the termination of his rights to the children unless, within thirty days of receipt of this notice, he files:

(a) a petition to legitimate the children pursuant to O.C.G.A. §19-7-22; and

(b) notice of the filing of the petition to legitimate with the Toombs County Juvenile Court.

If the court at the trial finds that the facts set out in the petition to terminate parental rights are true and that termination of your rights will serve the best interests of your children, the court can enter a judgment ending your rights to your children.

If the judgment terminates your parental rights, you will no longer have any rights to your children.  This means that you will not have the right to visit, contact, or have custody of your child or make any decisions affecting your children or your children’s earnings or property.  Your children will be legally freed to be adopted by someone else.

Even if your parental rights are terminated:

(1) You will still be responsible for providing financial support (child support payments) for your child’s care unless and until your child is adopted; and

(2) Your child can still inherit from you unless and until your child is adopted.

This is a very serious matter.  You should contact an attorney immediately so that you can be prepared for the court hearing.  You have the right to hire an attorney and to have him or her represent you.  If you cannot afford to hire an attorney, the court will appoint an attorney if the court finds that you are an indigent person.  Whether or not you decide to hire an attorney, you have the right to attend the hearing of your case, to call witnesses on your behalf, and to question those witnesses brought against you.

The conservators of the above estate, has applied for Discharge from said trust.  This is to notify the above interested parties to show cause, if any they can, why said conservators should not be discharged from office and liability.  All objections must be in writing, setting forth the grounds of any such objections, and filed with the above Probate Court, 125 S. Main Street Swainsboro, Ga. 30401 on or before January 10, 2020, said date being more than 30 days from the date of publication, or if personally served, then 10 days from the date of such service.  All pleadings must be signed before a notary public or probate court clerk, and filing fees must be tendered with your pleadings, unless you qualify to file as an indigent party. Contact probate court personnel at the below address/telephone number for the required amount of filing fees.

If any objections are filed, a hearing will be scheduled for a later date.  If no objections are filed, the petition may be granted without a hearing.

PUBLIC NOTICE Emanuel County Request for Qualifications

Emanuel County is considering the submission of an application under Georgia’s Department of Community Affairs (DCA) to undertake a single activity project. The potential project involves the rehabilitation of a public facility.

We are soliciting qualifications (RFQ) for the provision of a preliminary architectural report and design, cost estimates, and implementation/expenditures time schedules in connection with this application. We anticipate that by selecting a firm to undertake preliminary work, and barring unforeseen circumstances, if the resulting application is funded, the firm selected would also be retained under negotiated contract to undertake final architecture/design and implementation of this project. No further competition for services on this project is anticipated.

Should you elect to submit qualifications for consideration please call Hugh Darnley at 478-374-4771 for a copy of the required Consultant Qualification Questionnaire and Section 3 documentation.  Complete and return the Consultant Qualification Questionnaire with necessary attachments along with the proposal.  All responses will be reviewed, and the firm which is determined to best suit our needs, will be selected.

To be considered, proposals must be received no later than 5:00 PM on January 17, 2020 by Hugh Darnley at the Heart of Georgia Altamaha Regional Commission, Emanuel FY2020 CDBG, 5405 Oak Street, Eastman, Georgia 31023. Invitation for oral presentation, if required, will not be issued until prime candidates have been identified through the initial review of submitted questionnaires.
