Holiday season to be in full swing this weekend with events across Emanuel

The Swainsboro Christmas Parade will be held this Thursday, December 5.

Parade lineup will begin at 5 p.m., south of BB&T Bank on South Main Street. The parade will begin sharply at 5:30 p.m. The route will progress north on U.S. Highway 1 until turning onto West Pine Street, where it will continue until dispersing at Swainsboro First Baptist Church.

Following the parade, the Swainsboro-Emanuel County Chamber of Commerce will present Carols on the Square featuring local entertainment, visits with Santa (bring your camera!), and the lighting of the Community Christmas Tree.

Other upcoming holiday events are as follows:

• Adrian’s Christmas parade will be Friday, December 6, beginning at 6 p.m.

• Twin City will have its annual Christmas parade and tree lighting this Saturday, December 7. The parade will start at 5:30 p.m.

• The City of Stillmore will host its annual Christmas parade on Sunday, December 8, from 12:30 until 6 p.m.
