John Osborne Brogdon, 100

Mr. John Osborne Brogdon, 100 of Swainsboro, died Thursday morning, November 21, 2019 at his residence.

Brogdon was born August 23, 1919 in Suwanee, son of the late John W. Brogdon and Corrie Osborn Brogdon. He had lived in Lake City, Florida before moving to Swainsboro 14 years ago. He was a United States Navy veteran of WWII. Brogdon was a sheet metal machinist and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Graveside services with military honors were held Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Brogdon; four children; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Hubert Brogdon, Oscar Brogdon, and Sam Brogdon; and sisters, Susie McCollough, Avie Brogdon Dodd, and Lottie Brogdon

Arrangements were by Tomlinson Funeral Home and Crematory of Swainsboro.
