Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Greta Simmons, 87 of Swainsboro, on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro.

Funeral services were held Friday, November 22, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Swainsboro First Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Harrell officiating.

Interment followed at Swainsboro City Cemetery.

ECI, Magnolia Midlands partner for Family Science Night

On November 12, ECI hosted Family Science Night. Parents and students went through stations and learned about the importance of bees, how to identify minerals, invented toys, and did other hands-on science activities. ECI teachers were on hand to provide guidance at each station.

Jordan’s River to perform next month
