Are you prepared for the storm

Everybody is preparing for the storm Dorian. She has been taking her time and moving very slowly. It is predicted to land in The United States probably by the time you read this article. While this storm is moving slowly, people on the coast are preparing for it’s coming. They are gathering items necessary for survival. Some are planning to ride it out. Some are traveling and moving to higher ground and some are going to shelters. The governor has issued a warning to everyone that if you stay, you stay at your own risk.
Now let’s see about the ones who plan to stay and ride it out. They must get generators if they can afford one to keep the necessary appliances running. They must stock food and water. Even with all of that, their homes may not be secure. Those going to higher ground runs the risk of accidents, hotels having no vacancies, and overstaying time with friends and family. Now the issues I find with shelters are:
● You will be living with strangers.
● You can only carry one or two bags
● You may be living in unsanitary conditions.
● It increases your chances of being victimized.
● You will not be sleeping in a bed.
With these and other options, you must make a decision. But there is another choice, ignore the warnings and do nothing at all.
Now, this the place where a lot of people are today. Jesus has warned us that as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be when He returns. People ignored the prophet, Noah. They did not prepare for safety. They refused to go onto the ark and they were all destroyed, except Noah and his family.
Now, are you prepared to meet Jesus in peace? He said in His word St. John 14:6, ” I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man comes unto the Father, but by me.” If you don’t prepare to meet Jesus by receiving Him as you Lord and Savior, then you will not go back with Him. So get ready, for Jesus is on His way back. The angels asked His disciples why are you gazing in the sky? The same way you saw Him go up is the same way He’s coming back.
