Hooray, Dr. Ray!!!!

Being considered a cornerstone of Emanuel County, today marked a HUGE day for Dr. Ray, and we can’t wait to spill the details in this week’s edition!

In the meantime, let us all give Dr. Ray his due recognition by saying thank you for his MANY years of service in our county!

 

 


Bobcats defeat Augusta University in game one, fall in game two

The East Georgia State College softball team traveled to Augusta, Ga., on Saturday, September 28, to play against Augusta University.

EGSC’s President delivers State of the College Address

On Tuesday, September 24, 2019, East Georgia State College’s President, Dr. Bob Boehmer, held the yearly state of the college address. Students, faculty, staff and members from the community all gathered in the Luck Flanders Gambrell Center auditorium for the event.

ECSO investigates freak accident following victim of stray bullet

Shortly after 12 p.m. today, deputies from the Emanuel County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Emanuel Medical Center in regards to a gunshot wound victim.

According to Chief Deputy Rocky Davis, a mother was traveling down Highway 56 South towards Swainsboro, just east of Bream Lane, when a stray bullet entered the windshield of the vehicle, striking her 17-year-old, non-verbal autistic son in the head.
