Mildred Azalea Manley, 78

   A celebration of life service for Mildred A. Manley, 78, was held Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Emanuel County Institute Auditorium with Pastor Teddy Pierce presiding. Interment followed at St. James AME Cemetery. She died Monday, January 21, 2019 following an extended illness.

Ms. Mildred Azalea Manley was born April 7, 1930 to Rodelle Mitchell and Jimmy Manley. She was a faithful member of St. James AME Church, and was employed by Emanuel County Daycare in Swainsboro until her retirement. Manley was preceded in death by her mother, Rodelle Mitchell; ;father, Jimmy Manley; and two brothers, Randolph Daniels and Jimmy Lee Daniels.

Survivors include one son, Joe Louis Manley; two daughters, Patricia Ann Manley and Sheree Manley; honorary daughters, Louise Allen and Annie Rose Hillyer; and a host of several grandchildren, honorary grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are Marion Steele, Richard Daughtry, Mark Heath, Bobby Steele, Donald Brown, and Marvin Williams. Honorary pallbearers were family and friends.

Mosley’s Funeral Home in Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
