Fall Line Chapter receives charter

The Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution hosted the new Fall Line Chapter’s charter banquet on Saturday, November 10, at 7 p.m. at the Pringle Building in Sandersville. With the Col William Few Chapter Registrar Bill Tankersley presiding as the Master of Ceremonies, there were 65 members in attendance.
The Georgia Society of the American Revolution award winning color guard conducted the presentation of the colors, commanded by Bill Palmer. The Invocation was given by 2015-16 Georgia Society SAR Chaplain Emory Fennell. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by the East Region Vice President Sonny Pittman and the Pledge to the SAR was led by the Wiregrass Chapter President Wilder Smith Jr. Introductory remarks were given by Georgia Society President Donald Burdick, followed by the Greetings from the 2016-17 President General J. Michael Tomme Sr. Greetings from the DAR were given by Regent Gov. David Emanuel/Adam Brinson Chapter Jane G. Durden, Registrar Jared Irwin, and Karen McNeely Dana.
