On Thursday, September 13, FFA state officers came to Swainsboro High School (SHS) to visit with Faith Patrick and Ashley Henry’s agriculture classes and FFA members. Namely, state president Brice Rowland, state vice president Dawson Adams, and state executive secretary Ben Lastly were the visitors.

These three state officers talked to SHS students about FFA, teamwork, and leadership. Students engaged in activities that involved working together with other classmates while utilizing leadership and communication skills.

“I think having the state FFA officers come to our school was good for our agricultural education classes and students,” said Bridget Dixon. “The officers were very informative about current agriculture topics and helped relate them back to lesson being taught in the classroom.”
