AMC provides industry collaboration with Emanuel County Schools

   Employees of Advanced Metal Components are working to provide industry collaboration with Emanuel County Schools.
   Doug Brown, president, and Bill Lewis, quality manager, are seen presenting Jess Bush, engineering and technology instructor at Swainsboro High School, and Kendall Hadden, engineering and technology instructor at Emanuel County Institute, with measuring tools including height gages, digital calipers, protractors, and linear measurement scales.
   AMC is also providing both schools with drawings and finished products. Students in the engineering and technology pathway classes at both SHS and ECI will inspect the products using the drawings and tools. Some of the products have intentional mistakes that students will be taught to find during the class. Once students find the mistakes, they will propose a solution for correcting the product.
