Recently, Miss East Georgia State College, Taylor Sapp, and Miss Historic Southern Plans, Sara DeLoach, visited the Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital Navicent Health in Macon. They visited with children in the hospital and helped them create arts and crafts.
This is one of the five Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in the state of Georgia, and each Miss Georgia contestant is encouraged to visit as many hospitals and children as possible. Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals raise funds for 170 children’s hospitals across North America. The Miss America Organization’s contestants have raised over $15 million for CMN hospitals and Miss America Scholarships since 2007.
Both Sapp and DeLoach will be competing in the Miss Georgia 2018 Scholarship Pageant in June in Columbus, Ga. They plan to visit more hospitals prior to the pageant.
