Victory at Tiger Field

Over the years there have been some great wins at Tiger Field. Victory has been experienced many times on that field. These great victories didn’t just happen. They occurred because coaches and players worked together for a common cause. They prepared and practiced and they expected victory. Great things happen when people come together with a mind to work.

In about 8 weeks all of us here in Emanuel County and the surrounding area have an opportunity to experience victory on another level. Actually, we have an opportunity to be a part of the greatest wins that will ever occur at Tiger Field. We have the opportunity to see men and women, boys and girls gain the victory that there is in Jesus Christ. That’s why excitement is building for the “East Georgia Go Tell Crusade.”On April 17th to 20th we can expect victory.

Friends, there is victory in Jesus. He is the hope of the world. The Bible says that He is come to “set the captives free.” This crusade is yet another opportunity to proclaim the good news of Jesus to a host of people. The last I heard, about 40 churches had voiced a commitment to support this crusade. Many business leaders and officials in the county are excited about what God can do in this effort. People are now coming together with a mind to work.

For a football team to expect victory, they have to prepare and practice. For us to expect victory in April, we must prepare and pray. We must pray that God will change lives. We must pray that marriages will be saved, and that families will be strengthened. We must pray for God’s anointing on that week of meetings. We must pray for Rick Gage as he preaches the word of God. We must pray that the Spirit will be sweet and that satan will have no place on that field or in those stands.

We should expect victory. After all we serve a victorious God. We serve a God who can save from the “gutter most to the utter most.”We all have family and friends that need Christ in their lives. Let’s work together to get as many as we can to the crusade. There will be something there for everyone.

For the next 8 weeks, lets work together for victory.

God Bless.—

Cail Pressey is pastor of Hawhammock Baptist Church.
