Sixth grade students at SMS enjoyed a visit from the Mobile Dairy, Sprite the dairy cow and Andi Branstetter. The sixth graders watched a milking demonstration and asked questions about dairy cows, the milking process and milk processing. TWIN CITY—Funeral for Jerry Fann, Sr, 57, was held at 11a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005 at the Rountree Grove Baptist Church in Twin City. Burial was in the church cemetery. He died Friday, Dec. 31, 2004 in the Candler County Hospital after an extended illness.

Judge Brewer honored at retirement

A retirement reception was held for Judge Charles Brewer Tuesday, Dec. 28. The party was held at the magistrate’s office.

Army Reserve Pfc. Damien L. Foreman has graduated from the Automated Logistical Specialist Advanced Individual Training (AIT) course at the U.S. Army Quartermaster Center and School, Fort Lee, Petersburg, Va.

Technology Resource Associates in Swainsboro (formerly ZCorum) recently participated in the Toys for Tots program. Toys were delivered to 20 local families. Among employees participating in the toy drive were Sara Jones and Sheenika Wilson.

    STILLMORE—Funeral for Sybil S. Pierson will be held Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with Rev. Louis Pearce and Dr. Barry Owens officiating. Burial will be in Stillmore City Cemetery. She died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2004 at Swainsboro Nursing Home.
