Matt Oxley, P.E., Georgia Tech Economic Development Institute employee, recently assumed duties as the Georgia Rural Economic Development Center (GREDC) Entrepreneur Outreach Specialist to assist the center in supporting technology-based entrepreneur growth in rural Georgia. Oxley replaces Patrick Wilbanks, who is moving to the new Georgia Centers of Innovation Office in Savannah. Voices United celebrates 12th anniversary

Voices United will celebrate its 12th anniversary Sunday, Feb. 27 at 2:30 p.m. The choir is under direction of musician and founder Matthew Howard. Co-directors are Alveta Parker and Carnita Harden.

Groups on the program will be Voices of Praise of Jefferson County, New Life in Christ Ministry of Vidalia, Williams Chapel Mass, St. James Mass and many others.


Williams Chapel hosts ‘fill a pew’ night

Fill A Pew Night will be held at Williams Chapel Holiness Church Saturday, Feb. 26 at 6 p.m.

On the program will be Jeffery Jones, Annie Williams, Marisha Harmon, Sherry Woods, Williams Chapel Youth and William Chapel Mass. Benediction will be by Bishop Clyde Fowler Sr.



Arzoney (Ma-Zoney) Sapp, 94

SWAINSBORO—Funeral for Arzoney (Ma-Zoney) Sapp, 94, was held Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005 at 1 p.m. at William Grove Holiness Church with Elder Bertha Jones officiating. Burial was in Adrian City Cemetery. She died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005.

Mrs. Sapp was born to the late Matthew and Maggie Snell on Aug. 28, 1910 in Johnson County. She moved to Philadelphia in the early 1950s where she worked at the Episcopal Hospital … Read More
