Holy Zion to present Black History program

Holy Zion Holiness Church in Twin City will host a Black History program Saturday, Feb. 26 at 7:30 p.m. Guest speaker will be Minister Dwanna Hughes. Pastor is M. Owens. Guest churches will be Holy Zion of Metter, Union Chapel of Garfield, Cooper Baptist and Rountree Chapel.

I am a 58-year-old woman, recently disabled, living alone and I would like to know more about my rights with regard to Social Security. My question is what do I do if I think I’m being treated unfairly by Social Security? While I may be disabled, I’m not about to take an unfair ruling without a fight. What can you tell me?

‘Funtastic’ reading plans underway

THOMASTON—Funeral for Harry E. Flanders Jr., 90, was held Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Thomaston with Rev. Bill Barber and Dr. Edwin L. Cliburn officiating. Burial was in Swainsboro City Cemetery at 4 p.m. He died Feb. 16, 2005 at Providence Health Care in Thomaston.
