Bright to perform at Elam BC

Local gospel singer Michael Bright will perform in concert at Elam Baptist Church in Garfield Sunday, June 5 at 7 p.m.

Bright is known for his national radio releases such as “Take Time” and “Miracle Working Jesus.” His album “A Touch From Jesus” was given a Triple A rating in Singing News Magazine.

Bright ministers in over 175 churches a year.

Seedling Garden Club installs officers

Seedling Garden Club held its end of the year meeting and “gift swap” at the home of Susan Morris Monday, May 9. A delicious meal of salads and desserts was prepared by club members for the special occasion.

Elisha Race Irvin and Hayden McRae Irvin, sons of Jay and Kristie Irvin of Swainsboro, were honored at a double birthday party Sunday, May 15, at their home in the country. Mac was 1 year old May 5 and Race was 4 years old May 24.

Missionettes perform

The women’s choral ensemble sang to a crowd at the First Baptist Church on May 15. This group, known as the Missionettes, sang for 15 years before disbanding.
