Spring in January?

Very mild temperatures have arrived in Emanuel County this week! This reading on Monday, Jan. 3 at Citizens Bank shows a balmy 73 degrees. So far, forecasters are predicting a pleasant rest of the week. Let’s hope so!

    Williams Chapel mass choir celebrates anniversary

    Williams Chapel Mass Choir will celebrate its anniversary Sunday, Jan. 9 at 2:30 p.m. at Williams Chapel Holiness Church in Swainsboro.

    Parade of choirs will include Mighty Pee Wees, Johnson Chapel, Mt. Gilead, Greater St. James, Lester Grove, First African Baptist of Vidalia, Willow Springs, Smith Grove, JB Gospel Singers, House of God, Pages of Life.

    Pastor is Bishop Clyde Fowler Sr.

    SWAINSBORO—Funerall for Rebecca Taylor Schwabe, 82 was held Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004 at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Wayne DeFore and Rev. Susan Blair officiating. Burial was in Swainsboro City Cemetery. She died Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, at her residence after an extended illness.
