EMC’s ER to move April 5

Beginning April 5 individuals needing emergency treatment will be directed to the temporarily moved Emergency Department located on the west side of the facility. The relocation of this department is necessary due to the expansion of Emanuel Medical Center.

“We’ve done our best to reduce any inconvenience to deliver patient care during our expansion and this temporary move,” said Brad Blackmon, assistant administrator.

    METTER—Funeral for Christopher Michael “Chris” (Monkey) Clayton, 22, was held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2005 at Open Door Worship Center with Pastor Ray Woodcock and Rev. Mike Whelchel officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, in Jenkins County, near Millen. He died Friday March 25, 2005.

    According to Emanuel County Sheriff

    J. Tyson Stephens, on Wednesday, March 23 at around 11:25 a.m., Emanuel County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to Falcon Trail on a missing child call. Upon arrival, deputies were told that 21-month-old Nicholas Guthrie was reported missing by his mother, Angela Guthrie.
