Swainsboro Middle School Fastpitch Softball Team began region play with a victory over Dublin Thursday, Oct. 28, in Swainsboro. Macy Lawson and Jade Newsome shared the mound with a total of 11 strikeouts. Jade Newsome contributed to the win with an inside the park three run homer. ADRIAN—Funeral for Thomas Ralph Morris, 83, was held Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Sammons Funeral Home in Soperton with Rev. Tommy Veal and Rev. Gerald Palmer officiating. Burial was in Poplar Springs Cemetery in Johnson County. He died Friday, Nov. 19, 2004.
