Swainsboro native receives Purple Heart

Corporal Michael C. Meadows, a Marine with 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received during his recent deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Tammy Wilcher and Chris Mosley of Swains-boro announce the birth of their daughter, Nakedra Yvecka Mosley, March 25 at Emanuel Medical Center in Swainsboro. Maternal grandparents are Jack and Inez Wilcher of Swains-boro. Paternal grandparents are Levi and Vicki Freeman of Metter and Solomon Mosley of Swains-boro. Nakedra has a brother, Christopher Michael Mosley Jr., and a sister, Markeata Yvette Wilcher.



Lula McDaniel, 82

ADRIAN—Funeral for Lula McDaniel, 82, was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2005 in the chapel of Sammons Funeral Home of Soperton with Rev. Inman Gerrald officiating. Burial was in Northview Cemetery in Dublin. She died Wednesday, March 30, 2005.
