Corporal Michael C. Meadows, a Marine with 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received during his recent deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. ADRIAN—Funeral for Lula McDaniel, 82, was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2005 in the chapel of Sammons Funeral Home of Soperton with Rev. Inman Gerrald officiating. Burial was in Northview Cemetery in Dublin. She died Wednesday, March 30, 2005.
