LocalNet, which services Swainsboro and surrounding areas, has announced that it now offers KidsCheck parental control software, which allows Internet users to block explicit website content and control access to chat programs, Instant Messaging and E-mail.

“We’ve taken calls from people in Swainsboro and other areas, asking if we could limit their children’s access while on the Internet,” said Marc Silvestri, president of LocalNet.

Springfield MBC in spring revival

Springfield Missionary Baptist Church of Oak Park will be in spring revival and celebrate its 101st anniversary May 19-22 at 7:30 p.m.

Evangelist for the week is Rev. Alfred Cason of Lyons.

    Entertainment for the Ohoopee Jamboree Friday night, May 20, will be After Five Bluegrass Country, 7 to 8 p.m.; Glory Road Trio, 8 to 9 p.m.; and Gospel Bluegrass Expressed, 9 to 10 p.m.

    There is no admission charge to the Jamboree held each Friday night on Nora Boulevard in Adrian.
