Invitation campaign set to begin for East Georgia Go Tell Crusade

Teams of volunteers will be out Saturday morning, April 2, to offer special invitations to local residents to attend the East Georgia Go Tell Crusade, April 17-20. Volunteers will meet at 9 a.m. on the Boneyard in downtown Swainsboro to receive invitation cards to begin knocking on doors inviting residents to attend the crusade. The invitation handout will continue on Saturday, April 9 and Saturday, April 16.

    Dr. Leta Truett has received the doctor of philosophy degree at Texas Medical Center, Houston, Texas. Her doctoral dissertation is entitled “Development of a Tool for Patients to Describe the Phenomenon of Suffering.”

    Jennifer Price of Swains-boro graduated from University of Georgia during commencement exercises recently. Jennifer received a bachelor of arts degree with a major in psychology. She was also named to the dean’s list for fall 1999.
