THOMASVILLE—Services for Harriet J. Scott of Pavo were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel in Thomasville. The Rev. Larry Harris officiated and interment was in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Scott died Dec. 20, 2004 at her residence.

KITE—Funeral for Carlton Pringle Cummings, 61, was held Sunday, Dec. 19, 2004 at 3 p.m. at Claxton Grove Baptist Church in Kite with Rev. Alton Walker Sr. officiating. Burial was in St. Paul Cemetery in Kite. He died Dec. 15, 2004 after a brief illness.

    John Price receives Walgreens scholarship

    John Price of Twin City was recently recognized by Mercer University’s Southern School of Pharmacy during the School Honors Luncheon in Atlanta. A third-year pharmacy student, Price received a Walgreens Company Scholarship.
