BARTOW—Funeral for VeEsther P. Kniphfer, 85, was held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2005 at Powell’s Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. W.E.

Thompson, Rev. Kenneth Watkins and Rev. R.L.

Rathburn officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. She died Wednesday, May 18, 2005 following an extended illness.

Crystal Mote and BJ Barwick of Swainsboro announce the birth of their son, Jessie Billy Barwick, April 22 at Emanuel Medical Center in Swainsboro.

Maternal grandparents are David and Lori Snyder of Brunswick. Paternal grandparents are Billy Joe and Debbie Barwick of Swainsboro. Great-grandparents are Mary Trammell and Mary Elizabeth Barwick of Oak Park.

Mrs. Denise Colter, LPN and Mrs. Mary Brantley, LPN were selected by their co-workers as Emanuel Medical Center’s Nurse of the Year. “This year’s selection resulted in a tie vote, so they are sharing the honor,” explained Ginger Hall, Clinical Director of Nursing.

“Denise and Mary are both very deserving of this honor,” said Sybil Patterson while presenting the gift baskets.
