Nicole and David Hammock of Adrian announce the birth of their son, David Paul Hammock Jr., March 23 at Emanuel Medical Center in Swainsboro. Maternal grandparents are Connie and Alan Johnson of Adrian. Paternal grandfather is Wayne Hammock of Kite. Great-grandparents are John and Margie Moore of Adrian. David has a sister, Michelle Hammock.

Holly Boatright, bride-elect of Jim Beecher, was honored at a lingerie shower Saturday, March 26, at the lovely home of Amy Dorsey. Serving as hostesses for the afternoon event were Ms. Dorsey, Nikki Chance, Lindsey Cowart, Leila Smith, Pam Johnson and Brandi Johnson.

Future bridal couple, Mathew Claxton and Sara Edmond were honored at a handyman shower hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Willis Claxton Jr., Lashley and Gary Coleman, Shane and Dawn Scarboro, Mrs. Phyllis Scarboro and Mrs. Julie Way.

Miss Edmond wore black capri pants and a mint green sweater for the event.

    ADRIAN—Funeral for James Dean Edenfield, 42, was held Saturday, April 2, 2005, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary with Elder Tommy Rountree officiating. Burial was in Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. He died Wednesday, March 30, 2005 in Gwinnett County.

    Mr. Edenfield was a native of Emanuel County, employed with Ohoopee Contractors and was son of the late Ivey Edenfield.
