Saturday night’s racing at Swainsboro Speedway action got under way with the Pure Stock division. With a class of 24 cars, Jason Floyd took the lead on the second start. Floyd fought hard to maintain his position and after four laps Glen Watkins made his way to the first spot.

Swainsboro-Emanuel County Parks and Recreation Department’s Countywide Track and Field Meet was held Saturday, April 2, at Swainsboro High School. Boys and girls receiving ribbons for placing in the Countywide Track and Field Meet were:

April meeting of Glad Garden Club centered around a variety of activities in which the club is involved. The East Georgia Go Tell Crusade featuring Evangelist Rick Gage will end tonight and is expected to draw about 4,000 people or more.
