Annual Economic Outlook luncheon slated Jan. 11

The seventh annual Georgia Economic Outlook luncheon will be held Tuesday, Jan. 11 at the Richard L. Brown Room of East Georgia College from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

SWAINSBORO—Funeral for Horace C. Cavanah Jr. was held Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with Rev. Bunny Hudson and Rev. Louis Pearce officiating. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery. He died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004 at University Hospital in Augusta.

Emanuel awarded $9,505 for food, shelter funds

Emanuel County has been chosen to receive $9,505 to supplement emergency food and shelter programs in the county. Swainsboro Raceway fans and drivers decided to start the New Year off with a big blast with over 120 cars that showed up for racing action and fans packed the stands. Getting the racing action started was a field of Sportsman cars from all over the South.
