Emanuel County Sheriff’s deputies reported various incidents during the week. Cases are:

SWAINSBORO—Funeral for Leila Elizabeth Edenfield Tanner, 70, was held Thursday, May 26, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Emanuel Christian Ministries with Rev. Bunny Hudson officiating. Burial was in Mt.

Shady Cemetery. She died Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at her residence.

Council takes county’s offer of $3 million

By JACQUIE BRASHERAt a special called meeting Tuesday, May 24, Swainsboro city council voted four to one to accept Emanuel County Commission’s Proposal 1 to allocate $3 million of SPLOST funds to the city in the 2005 SPLOST Referendum.
