Pastor’s appreciation slated at Endtime

Endtime Faith Deliverance Church of Midville will host an appreciation service for Pastor Clyde Foreman Sr. and First Lady Theodosia Foreman March 16-18 at 7:30 p.m. Sunday service will begin at 3 p.m. Guest speaker is Superintendent Kenny Thomas of William Grove Church of the Living God. Dinner will be served.

Mattie Lue Bell Jones, 64

STILLMORE—Funeral for Mattie Lue Bell Jones, 64, was held Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005 at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Stillmore with Bishop Larry McMillan officiating. Burial was in Canoochee Cemetery. She died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005 at her home from cardio-pulmonary arrest.

Mrs. Jones was a native of Emanuel County where she attended public schools. She resided in Orlando, Florida for 43 years, where she was a cosmetologist … Read More

Open house held at Swainsboro Raceway

Swainsboro Raceway held its annual Open House and Car Show Saturday, March 12. The day began at 10 a.m. with new cars rolling into the track for the car show. Fans and drivers viewed cars from 10 a.m. to noon before winners were announced.

Hawhammock Church’s basketball program achieves great success

Hawhammock Baptist Church’s Upwards Basketball Program has been fun and enjoyable for all the participants. Before arriving in Emanuel County, the program was started in 1986 by Caz McCaslin at a church in Spartanburg, S.C. Currently, 1,200 churches in the country offer the program.
