Williams Chapel mass choir celebrates anniversary

Williams Chapel Mass Choir will celebrate its anniversary Sunday, Jan. 9 at 2:30 p.m. at Williams Chapel Holiness Church in Swainsboro.

Parade of choirs will include Mighty Pee Wees, Johnson Chapel, Mt. Gilead, Greater St. James, Lester Grove, First African Baptist of Vidalia, Willow Springs, Smith Grove, JB Gospel Singers, House of God, Pages of Life.

Pastor is Bishop Clyde Fowler Sr.

SWAINSBORO—Funerall for Rebecca Taylor Schwabe, 82 was held Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004 at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Wayne DeFore and Rev. Susan Blair officiating. Burial was in Swainsboro City Cemetery. She died Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, at her residence after an extended illness.

Steele earns honors

North Dakota State College of Science running back/wide receiver Bruce Steele of Twin City was named Second Team All-American, earned Iowa Conference Offensive MVP honors and was selected to the All-Region First Team.

Lucille Campbell is the proud mother of the first baby born at Emanuel Medical Center in Swainsboro. Coleman gave birth to Johnny Frank Kelly III on Jan. 1, 2005 at 4:27 p.m. Looking on is Dr. Jorgen Olsson. The baby and mother received a gift basket from the hospital.
